We care for the boarding students at the Brandenburg School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, which is in the nearby province of Brandenburg. Our goal is to prepare children and youths for an independent lifestyle. » Link Photo Gallery

There are a range of accommodations for the students, from living in the boarding school to shared apartments in the city centre. We can thus meet the individual needs of the students, whatever they may be.

In the living groups of four to nine students, there are single and double rooms, a common room, a kitchen, and bathroom facilities.

There are also facilities for the students to try to learn to live on their own. A high degree of independence, maturity, and self-reliance is crucial. Well-equipped apartments off-site help students to develop these qualities.

There will, of course, always be a staff member available to provide whatever additional support is necessary.

• Practice unfamiliar routes with students
• Help students with homework and to study for the next day‘s lesson

With our wide selection of creative and regularly changing leisure activities, boredom is sure never to be a problem. Everyone has the chance to bring their own ideas, to develop, and to participate as a member of our community.
