Self-Directed Careers with "1+11"
1+11 is for those people whose career opportunities have been severely reduced due to their visual impairment, especially if their careers are in danger or if they are already unemployed as a result.

"1": Our staff works out your career opportunities with you in the first month. This basis for your professional reintegration includes:

• Your personal ambitions
• Your professional capabilities and skills
• Your lifestyle and personal circumstances
• Your personality and impairment
  
  

"11": Afterwards, you will have 11 months of intensive training and support to implement your personal goals.

Possible approaches:

• Ensuring the stability of your current position by improving the suitability of your workplace
• Six-month supervision and support in search of an appropriate workplace
• Support with a new start in your career with appropriate training programs and enhancement of your qualifications
  
  

The costs for these measures can be assumed by the German Social Security bureau, various trade unions, the governmental employment agency, or the Integration Agency, for example.
