Content of the intervention program

Working together with you we ensure the best support for your child. We support and consult you with the following questions:

  • designing the living space
  • the optimal provision of aids
  • the transition to school
  • establishing contacts with other affected families

We work together with all the specialists, who take part in the support of your child
This includes the guidance and advice to the educators in the day care center.

When should early intervention be started?
As early as possible, because each day counts. Early intervention can take place at infant, toddler and preschool age, and also as a supportive measure in the school entry phase.

How?
The support is based on the holistic view of your child's development. We consider the individual life situation of the family and adapt the program to it.

Where?
The early intervention program can be provided in your house or outside, such as in a clinic. If your child already attends a day care center, the service can be provided alternately at home and at the day care centre.

Why?
The first years of life are particularly important for the development of children. The various experiences and stimulation your child has in its first years pave the way for its later development. The support is based on the holistic view of your child's development.

How often?
The intervention program can take place once or twice a week depending on the needs and the severity of the disability of your child.

Financing
The early intervention program is a therapeutic and pedagogic service provided by the ambulant integration service (ambulante Eingliederungshilfe, §53, 54 SGB XII, 55 SGB IX).
The integration service helps to avoid a potential handicap or mitigate an existing disability and its consequences. This service is independent of income and wealth, so parents do not have to pay a fee.
The service Early Intervention  has to be applied for by the parents. This service can be financed directly by the Youth welfare department (Jugendamt).
According to §17, §159 V SGB IX from the 1/1 2008 services must be provided in the form of an individual budget.

  • sensory disability,
  • intellectual disability
