Accommodation for trainees

Independent living and responsibility for ones life are important for young people, who are on their way into adulthood and the professional world. The dormitory as a place to live, spend free time and receive education plays an important role in accompanying the young people during their training and preparing them for their professional and private daily life.

Living in the framework of vocational training includes more than a disability accommodation. The "Learning Home" provides coordination, monitoring and support services to ensure a successful training and help young people to live with their visual impairment and also to discover, use and support other abilities, in order to cope with daily life situations and to participate in society with healthy confidence.

The project Life and Future (LUZ) for social learning makes a sustainable contribution to promote social and personal skills as key qualifications for a successful professional and private life.

The Berufsbildungswerk (BBW) and the SFZ Förderzentrum offer their trainees and rehabilitation patients undergoing rehabilitation a variety of attractive accommodation.

The accomodation is based on the individual needs and abilities of adolescents and young adults. Thus, we provide accommodation either in a residential group on the territory of the SFZ, or in the nearby city of Chemnitz.
