Coop education programs and rehabilitation near your home enable blind and visually impaired youth to begin their vocational training near their homes and to take advantage of what BBW has to offer.

Which vocational training program is right for you depends on:

• the assistance available in acquiring and applying appropriate aids
• particular support systems
• your proficiency in using aids for the blind and visually disabled
  
  

We can help you choose the program that is right for you.  The vocational training contract will include us as a party in coop education programs.  In case of rehabilitation near your home, the company employing you as an intern/apprentice will negotiate a contract with you directly. 

Before beginning an internship

Our staff will advise you in your career choice.  With us, you will have the chance to try out various different types of professional activities.  We will help you to find an internship position and with the job application details.  We will also help you to prepare for the entire course of the internship, which includes adjusting and testing the workplace equipment and any necessary aids.  We can also suggest the best support products and help you to procure them.

During the internship

Your personal coach is your first point of contact for the entire course of the internship.  He/she will coordinate the internship process and support systems with you on-site.  For the theoretical component, you will attend the coop education centre of BBW?s vocational training school.  We have designed the rehabilitation near you program so that you will be able to attend a vocational training school in your area.

After the internship

Of course, we will help you with your job search and to prepare for your future position.
